Physically, knee things are going well. The swelling is way down (though not gone - Ice is still the order of the day) and I'm able to flex my quads more often than not. I'm also getting comfortable putting weight on my left leg; I can mostly use just one crutch around the apartment. The physical therapist was impressed with my progress. ( And then there's mental health... )

After many emails from confused foreigners addressing Mr. Wolfe (or equally often Mr. Astor), I finally amended my email signature to say Ms. Aster D. Wolfe.

I tried 'Mrs.' out, just to see. It still just doesn't quite look right to me, though I can't put my finger on why.

Walking home from the train station, a cab driver calls out to me.

Him: Hey, Beautiful!
Me: smiles politely, keeps walking
Him: Really, you're a beautiful woman.
Me: Thanks.
Him: ...so, I just made your day, eh?
